FROM 12th June to 15th July: ROMBOMACHIA
1-"Noi vogliamo cantare l'amor del pericolo, l'abitudine all'energia e alla temerità". One hundred years ago this was the first sentence of Manifesto del Futurismo by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti.
After 100 years since the publication Claudio d'Avanzo, the editor of the show, wonders ironically and with disenchantment what was about it and, first of all, what it remains of the first and only cultural movement born in Italy.
The exposition has been prepared with the collaboration of the Accademia di Costume e Moda of Rome and of some students who after a century have re-read the Futurist Manifestos of Theater,Cinema and Dance. "Rombi d'Ascesa" e "Guerra sola igiene del mondo" were Marinetti's appeals. "Rombo" e "Machia" are the concepts on which Claudio D'Avanzo points out the attention with the help of the Accademia di Costume e Moda di Roma, aiming to keep at a distance from stale celebrations and commonplaces.
FROM 18th July to 30th August :VIAGGIO A TULUM edited by Marco Sani
The show presents in 10 stages the story of "Viaggio a Tulum", a cinematographic service written by Federico Fellini and Tullio Pinelli, but never realized by the Famous Director from Rimini.
The story, published in 1985 in "Corriere della Sera", follows the adventures and the oddities of a really done journey by Fellini in the Eighties, when, together with a small group of collaborators he went from Los Angeles to Maya cost to meet the writer Carlos Castaneda and realize a film about shamanism and initiation as they are described in his books. The long service became a long collaboration with Milo Manara, with followed the story through comics with his lines and brushes, however it was never realized as a film.
Since then an inscription, "Ipotesi di manifesto per un film da fare" ,stands out on the cover that showing "Viaggio a Tulum".In 2008, more than 20 years later, the Italian production "Aracne studio" with the Mexican FFM, realized with success a co-production allowing to begin the shots and the birth of a project of a film with mixed technique, between fiction and cartoon cinema, addressed to the cinema. The two productions ended the first part of shots, filming the long journey from the USA to Yucatan, the landscapes, places and all the scenes that will be then used in studio to insert in the shots the cartoon cinema elements taken from the precious album by Manara. The Roman summer gives hospitality to this "event", the work in progress of a film guessed as a homage to one of the greatest directors in the world, once more connecting Rome to Fellini.
The display panels show the working progress of the shots, some boards of the comics and photos with the troupe while working. The Ubik Visual Effect from Milan is the partner of the production for the visual effects.
